General description of features

Airvent

125 mm (5’’) venturi extractor efficiently removes the solvent vapours. The large diameter is very important to enable proper extraction.

Hood

The hood protects from splashing and enables different types of ventilation: Drester Airvent, Drester Minivent or central ventilation. The fact that the ventilation is not connected directly to the washing compartment reduces solvent loss and lowers the VOC emissions.

Manual rinse with clean solvent

Access to fresh solvent f or clean rinse of guns and other items. A mix of air and solvent cleans efficiently and reduces solvent consumption.

Manual wash with re-circulating solvent

Access to re-circulating solvent for manual washing of the gun and other items.

​

Vapour recovery

When spraying out the gun, the vapours are collected and condensed in the collecting spray-out funnel.

Safe solvent handling

A drum level indicator shows when the drum for re-circulating solvent is full.

​

Air connection

Flexible air connection to connect the gun for spray-out purposes.

Better cleaning

Superior layout of interior, where nozzles are placed for optimal cleaning result. Handles all guns, including systems with disposable cups. Two-gun spray cradle optional.

Drester spray nozzles

Specifically designed spray nozzles to give an optimal wash power with its even and broad spray pattern. Easy to maintain and clean.

Easy maintenance

The spray cradle can easily be removed for cleaning the washing compartment, which has a round shape and no welding seams.

Protected air channels of spray gun

An air flow through the spray gun during wash cycle protects channels from contaminated solvent. Fits all guns and quick fittings

Water trap and pressure regulator

Equipped with air pressure regulator and water trap for durability.

Drester pumps for automatic wash and clean rinse

The powerful teflon diaphragm pumps feed the nozzles with solvent. To reduce solvent consumption, the pump for clean solvent is working only as long as the operator is pressing the pedal.

Hands free

Foot-operated pumps for hands-free operation.

Timer

The reliable timer controls the time of the automatic wash cycle.

​

Brush

It is harder to remove water-borne paints than solvent-based paints. That is why Drester aqua cleaners are fitted with a flow-through brush, which is fed with recycled water. Also some solvent gun cleaners are fitted with a brush and for the others it is available as accessory.

Selector valve

With this valve you select: wash, agitate/flocculate the dirty water or evacuate the recycled water.

Rinse gun

The rinse gun’s nozzle is designed specifically for high pressure cleaning of the spray gun paint channels when using water borne paints. It is fed with fresh water, but can easily be reset for recycled water.

​

Flocculation

Automatic agitation of the dirty water with pulsating air or a mixer ensures perfect flocculation in a matter of minutes. The round shape of the wash basin facilitates the flocculation and the cleaning afterwards.

​

Double filter system

The flocculated paint sludge is collected in a primary filter. For better performance there is also a main filter which will trap the finest particles. The filters are kept above the water to avoid mould and discolouring. Both filters can be reused several times.

​

Evacuation

After filtration, the water can be reused or pumped into a drum or into the drain (subject to local approval). No heavy lifting necessary.
